Seasons Greetings

The holiday season is alive at Petite Auberge and our sister hotel White Swan Inn! Join our 12 Days of Christmas Movie Marathon for a different holiday-themed flick every night. We've got a gift wrapping station for perfect presents, afternoons full of fresh-baked holiday cookies, and evenings overflowing with glasses of mulled wine 'round the fire. And, for those who book direct, we're taking cues from Santa by leaving a tasty turndown treat on your pillow the night of your arrival. It's all just our way of saying welcome to our home for the holidays.

Ice Skate Around Town

San Francisco gets in the holiday spirit like no other city, with fun frolicking as only we can do. Our (relatively) balmy December temps don't mean ice skating is a no-go. Lace up the skates and hit one of the many outdoor rinks set-up around town, including the just-opened Winter Park at Civic Center. The new winter wonderland is inspired by Vienna's famous Wiener Eistraum ice-skating rink, and has a 100 x 60-foot ice rink (it's large-enough for a curling comp!) and a 400-foot skating track (for those who like it fast), all surrounded by an illuminated forest of trees.

Catch a Show

The city's cultural calendar is at its best during the holidays. And, there's literally something for everyone. Traditionalist will love the San Francisco Ballet's production of The Nutcracker and Handel's Messiah at the Symphony, while those looking for something a little more modern can get in the spirit with RuPaul-approved queens at the San Francisco Theater's A Drag Queen Christmas or Drag Queens on Ice at Winter Park.

Shop Till You Drop

With some of the country's best boutiques, San Francisco is just the place to pick-up that perfect present. And even better, during the holidays, the city's top makers set-up shop at one of the many craft fairs around town. Browse hundreds of chic and tasty finds, including handmade jewelry, gourmet treats, glassware, ceramics, leather bags, clothing, and more - and find a unique gift like no other.

Take in the Lights

From the colorful display lighting up the Civic Center (left) to the 83-foot Christmas tree in Union Square, the city shines brightest this time of year. Enjoy the many light shows taking place around the city. And don't miss the 2018 Lighted Boat Parade, a glorious aquatic parade of light-festooned boats, set to sail along the Fisherman's Wharf waterfront the evening of December 14th.

Sip the Season

Warm-up with just the right holiday-inspired brew. Start with our nightly mulled wine hour, and mix and mingle with your fellow guests. Then, head to The Noe Valley Wine Walk, the Holiday Edition on December 1st for pours from local wineries, perfectly paired with holiday-inspired treats. If you've packed your ugly sweater, enjoy 3-buck beers, cocktails, and shots during the Sweater-Con Holiday Pub Crawl on December 15th. And for those who want to give Hannukah a little much-needed attention, grab your favorite drink and a few latkes, and dance Christmas Eve away at The 2018 Latke Ball on the 24th.
